HomeMy WebLinkAbout10886RESOLUTION NO. 10886 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF A SWIMMING ADVISORY AND PLANNING COMMITTEE FOR THE CITY OF PUEBLO WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Pueblo City Council to create a swimming advisory and planning committee for the City of Pueblo; and WHEREAS, the purpose of this advisory and planning committee is to evaluate, promote and recommend recreational swimming programs and activities for the City of Pueblo; and WHEREAS, the members of the advisory and planning committee will be appointed to serve for a one (1) year term; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The Pueblo City Council hereby authorizes the creation of a Swimming Advisory and Planning Committee. SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective on final passage and approval. The Committee will consist of five members from the community and will serve a one -year term without compensation. These open committee positions will be advertised in the Pueblo Chieftain, and the City Council will appoint the committee from those individuals who apply. Appointed committee members will be required to meet with the swimming public as needed to solicit input and prioritize the recreational swimming needs of the City. RECOMMENDATION Resolution is at the recommendation of Councilman Aguilera. FINANCIAL IMPACT None.
