HomeMy WebLinkAbout10850RESOLUTION NO. 10850 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $10,000 FROM THE CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2006 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE OUT OF CYCLE REQUESTS TO MATCH COMMUNITY DONATIONS RELATED TO THE NECESSARY REHABILITATION AND REPAIRS OF HOMES IN THE PEPPERSAUCE BOTTOMS NEIGHBORHOOD BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The transfer of $10,000 from the Contingencies Account in the 2006 General Fund budget to the Out of Cycle Requests Fund is hereby approved. SECTION 2. Said funds shall be dispersed from the Out of Cycle Requests Fund to match community donations for necessary home rehabilitation and repairs in the Peppersauce Bottoms neighborhood. An area in the City known as "Peppersauce Bottoms" received heavy water flows from this storm and received extensive flood damage to homes and other private property. A community effort has been initiated by the City Council to address the necessary home repairs and rehabilitation in this neighborhood and has agreed to match community donations for this project. These monies are to be utilized on the rehabilitation of homes that were affected by the August 26, 2006, storm. Approval of the Resolution FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds in the amount of $10,000 will be transferred from the Contingencies Account in the 2006 General Fund Budget (see attached spreadsheet for the balance in the contingencies account).
