ISSUE
On August 26, 2006, the City of Pueblo experienced a 100 -year storm, which resulted in heavy
water and storm damage to the residents of Pueblo. An area in the City known as "Peppersauce
Bottoms" received heavy water flows from this storm and received extensive flood damage to
homes and other private property. A community effort has been initiated by the City Council to
address the necessary home repairs and rehabilitation in this neighborhood and has agreed to
match community donations for this project. These monies are to be utilized on the
rehabilitation of homes that were affected by the August 26, 2006, storm.
