CENTA, P.E. TITLE A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO PPP ROOFING, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $28,688 AND SETTING FORTH $7,500 FOR CONTINGENCIES TO REMOVE & REPLACE THE ROOF AT THE CITY PARK PAVILION AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME ISSUE Should City Council approve a resolution awarding a construction contract to PPP Roofing, Inc., to remove and replace the roof at the City Park Pavilion. RECOMMENDATION Approval of this Resolution IMT61 I,L111Af I; The roof on the Pavilion and office of City Park has leaked in several different locations for more than 10 years. At this point, patching is no longer practical. This project will include the removal of 2 -3 layers of shingles and will replace the decking in many areas due to sagging and rotting conditions. Because the extent of damage to the decking will not be evident until the shingles are removed, the cost of the decking is unknown at this time. If it is determined that the entire amount of decking needs to be replaced, the cost will be approximately $7,500, therefore, that amount is being set aside for contingencies The flat roof area will be pitched to eliminate pooling of water and facilitate positive drainage. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds for this project will be paid from Project Number CP0605.
