A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF PUEBLO RECREATIONAL PROJECTS FOR THE
COUNTY BALLOT REFERENDA FOR THE NOVEMBER 2006 GENERAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo enjoys a strong bond with the County of Pueblo in working
toward the betterment of the Pueblo community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo is facing new challenges ahead with increasing needs for
infrastructure improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City and County of Pueblo have agreed to cooperate in the creation and
improvement of existing recreational facilities and equipment within the City of Pueblo; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has identified and chosen capital improvement projects related
to recreational uses within the City of Pueblo; and
WHEREAS, the funding for such projects totaling five (5) million dollars will be derived from
the County Ballot Referenda pending voter approval in November of 2006, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Pueblo City Council hereby formally approves the recreational projects, a copy of
which is attached hereto, for the 2006 County Ballot Referenda issues. .
SECTION 2.
This Resolution becomes effective on final passage and approval.

ELECTION
ISSUE
The County of Pueblo has decided to place on the November 2006 ballot a question
asking the voters of Pueblo County if excess property tax revenues can be retained for
the purposes of constructing a new City- County Health Department, road improvements
in Pueblo West, and capital improvement recreational projects in the City of Pueblo.
The City administration compiled a list of possible recreational projects, with Council
finalizing. This list consists of recreational improvements of existing facilities as well as
a new project totaling 5 million dollars in costs.
Approval of the Resolution.
