FOR THE CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN (CAP) IMPLEMENTATION AT THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME WHEREAS, proposals for the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) Implementation at the Pueblo Memorial Airport have been received and examined and WHEREAS, the proposal by Innovar Environmental, Inc. was the lowest and best of those bids determined to be responsible; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. A contract for the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) Implementation is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $93,391. SECTION 2. In addition to the amount of the bid, an additional amount as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work: Contingencies and Additional Work: $14,000 SECTION 3. Funds for said project shall be expended from the 2006 Airport Budget. SECTION 4. The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the same. FOR THE CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN (CAP) IMPLEMENTATION AT THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME ISSUE Should City Council award a construction contract for the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) Implementation at the Pueblo Memorial Airport. RECOMMENDATION Approval of this Resolution. BACKGROUND The State of Colorado Department of Oil and Public Safety has granted approval to proceed with the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) that was submitted by Maxim Technologies on behalf of the City of Pueblo regarding the petroleum contamination site at the Pueblo Memorial Airport. The contract with Innovar Environmental, Inc. will consist of excavation, drilling, asphalt demolition, and waste disposal of contaminated soils at the project site. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds in the amount of $93,391 plus $14,000 in contingencies have been budgeted in the 2006 Airport Budget. A majority of these funds are eligible for reimbursement from the Colorado Department of Oil and Public Safety.
