HomeMy WebLinkAbout10578RESOLUTION NO. 10578 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT EXTENSION BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO, THE COUNTY OF PUEBLO AND THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF THE PIKES PEAK REGION RELATING TO THE OPERATION OF THE ANIMAL SHELTER AND ENFORCEMENT OF LOCAL ORDINANCES AND AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE SAME BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1 The Contract Extension dated December 12, 2005 between the City of Pueblo, the County of Pueblo and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region relating to the operation of the animal shelter and enforcement of local ordinances, a copy of which is attached hereto, having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, is hereby approved. SECTION 2 The President of the City Council is authorized to execute and deliver the Extension Agreement in the name of the City and the City Clerk is directed to affix the seal of the City thereto and attest same. SECTION 3 This Resolution shall become effective upon final passage and approval. RECOMMENDATION Approve the contract extension. BACKGROUND The Contract between the City, the County and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region expires December 31, 2005. The Contract Extension extends the term of the contract for one (1) year from January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2006 upon the same terms and conditions with the compensation and the sharing between the City and the County being the same as 2005.
