AGENDA ITEM # 5

DIRECTOR — DANIEL E. CENTA, P.E.
TITLE
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LIST OF ARCHITECTS ELIGIBLE FOR
SELECTION FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE DESIGN
OF FUTURE UNDETERMINED PROJECTS FOR THE PUEBLO DEVELOPMENT
FOUNDATION.
ISSUE
Should the City Council approve a list of architectural firms eligible for selection for
professional architectural services for future undetermined projects for the Pueblo
Development Foundation.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
At the request of the Pueblo Development Foundation (PDF), a Request for Proposals
was generated by the Purchasing Department and four proposals from architectural firms
were received and evaluated. It was determined that two Pueblo firms (Hurtig, Froelich
& Gardner and Architectural Innovations, Inc.) were well qualified and have specific
areas of expertise. It is the intent of this resolution to have both firms placed on an
eligibility list which allows selection by PDF for each project as it occurs.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The cost for architectural services will be determined and paid for as each project is
approved. The firm preparing preliminary design services understands that their services
may not be compensated if the project does not receive City Council approval and
funding.
