HomeMy WebLinkAbout10447RESOLUTION NO. 10447 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $25,000 FROM THE CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2005 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE OUT OF CYCLE REQUESTS TO FUND THE PUEBLO ZOO IN ORDER TO OFFSET THEIR OPERATIONAL COSTS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE 2005 FISCAL YEAR BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1 Funds in the amount of $25,000 are hereby transferred from the Contingencies Account in the 2005 General Fund budget to the Out of Cycle Requests Fund. SECTION 2 Said funds shall be dispersed from the Out of Cycle Requests Fund to the Pueblo Zoo to be used for operational costs for the remainder of the 2005 fiscal year. The Pueblo Zoo is one (1) of six (6) organizations funded directly by the City Council and not through the Citizen Services Advisory Commission (CSAC). In 2004, the Pueblo Zoo received $453,260 for operational expenses, $428,260 through the budget process and an additional $25,000 by separate appropriation. In the 2005 budget, $428,260 was appropriated. RECOMMENDATION Resolution requested by Councilman Chostner. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds in the amount of $25,000 will be transferred from the Contingencies Account in the 2005 General Fund Budget (see attached spreadsheet for the balance in the contingencies account).
