HomeMy WebLinkAbout10442RESOLUTION NO. 10442 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $25,000 FROM THE CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2005 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE OUT OF CYCLE REQUESTS TO FUND A STUDY TOWARD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AT THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The transfer of $25,000 from the Contingencies Account in the 2005 General Fund budget to the Out of Cycle Requests Fund is hereby approved. SECTION 2. Said funds shall be used for a study of attracting industry and business prospects to the Pueblo Municipal Airport. This study will enable members of the Advisory Committee to know and approach companies that would be viable candidates for recruitment to the Industrial Park at the National Business and Aircraft Association Convention to be held this fall in New Orleans. The study is to help the Pueblo Community attract aviation related businesses and primary jobs to the airport. The Airport Advisory Committee is asking the City and the County for a $50,000 contribution. The City and the County will split the cost of this project each contributing 50% to the total amount requested. RECOMMENDATION Resolution to be approved. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds in the amount of $25,000 will be transferred from the Contingencies Account in the 2005 General Fund Budget (see attached spreadsheet for the balance in the contingencies account).
