BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1
The City Council of the City of Pueblo does hereby find and determine:

WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PUEBLO FOR A PERIOD OF SIX (6) MONTHS
OR UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE CITY COUNCIL TAKES ACTION ON THE PENDING

ISSUE
Shall City Council approve and adopt a resolution imposing a moratorium on the issuance
of permits for the placement or installation of signs over thirty (30) feet in height within the
limits of the City of Pueblo for a period of six (6) months or until such time as the City
Council takes action on the pending sign ordinance, whichever occurs first?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their May 11, 2005 regular meeting, voted 6 -0
to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
Members of the Sign Ordinance Committee developed a draft sign ordinance for the City
of Pueblo over the last several months at the request of the Pueblo Planning and Zoning
Commission. The draft is currently out for public comment until May 25, 2005. A
moratorium on signs over thirty (30) feet in height would prevent any installation of larger
signs within the City of Pueblo until the City Council has had time to consider and take
action upon the proposed sign ordinance.
