HomeMy WebLinkAbout10388RESOLUTION NO. 10388 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $5,000 FROM THE CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2005 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE OUT OF CYCLE REQUESTS TO FUND A PARTIAL SPONSORSHIP OF THE 2005 LITTLE BRITCHES RODEO BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO THAT: SECTION 1 The transfer of $5,000 from the Contingencies Account in the 2005 General Fund Budget to the Out of Cycle Requests Fund is hereby approved. SECTION 2 Said funds shall be disbursed from the Out of Cycle Requests Fund to the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce to provide sponsorship dollars for the 2005 Little Britches Rodeo. GALLI, CITY MANAGER DOUG FITZGERALD, ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER TITLE A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $5,000 FROM THE CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2005 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE OUT OF CYCLE REQUESTS TO FUND A PARTIAL SPONSORSHIP OF THE 2005 LITTLE BRITCHES RODEO ISSUE The Little Britches Rodeo is moving their event to Pueblo effective July of 2005. The Rodeo needs a "Title Sponsor" for this event. Rod Slyhoff, President of the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce, and I feel that it is very important, particularly in this initial year of the event, that the title sponsorship come from local participation. It is our suggestion that the title sponsor be the community of Pueblo and that the sponsorship fee be funded in the amount of $5,000 each by the City of Pueblo, the County of Pueblo, the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce, and the Colorado State Fair. RECOMMENDATION Approval. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds in the amount of $5,000 will be transferred from the Contingencies Account in the 2005 General Fund Budget (see attached spreadsheet for the balance in the Contingencies Account).
