HomeMy WebLinkAbout10287RESOLUTION NO. 10287 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PUEBLO HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1 Dennis Francen is hereby appointed to the Human Relations Commission — City Appointment to complete the term expiring December 31, 2006 due to the resignation of Daniel Chavez, III: SECTION 2 The Pueblo City Council and Pueblo County Commissioners jointly appoint the Youth Member on the Pueblo Human Relations Commission. The following appointment formalizes the selection made during the PACOG Meeting held on December 9, 2004: Aaron Gutierrez for a 1 -year term expiring December 31, 2005. RECOMMENDATION Approval of the Resolution BACKGROUND Due to the resignation of Daniel Chavez III, a vacancy now exists on the Human Relations Commission. There is also a vacancy for a youth member. An advertisement was published in The Pueblo Chieftain on Sunday, September 12, 2004 seeking volunteers to serve on this committee and two appointments were made on October 25, 2004. Since the individuals listed below submitted an application at that time, a new ad was not published and their questionnaires are attached for your consideration.
