HomeMy WebLinkAbout10251RESOLUTION NO. 10251 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE SANGRE DE CRISTO ARTS AND CONFERENCE CENTER BOARD OF TRUSTEES BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: The following individuals are hereby appointed to the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center Board of Trustees to serve the 3 -year the term expiring December 31, 2007: Jane Christine "Christy" Furman Elaine Nicoll Linda Gunsolus- Kogovsek Augusta D. Ballage INTRODUCED October 25, 2004 BY Dr. Bill Sova Councilperson o. 010291 H ms' in Background Paper for Proposed RESOLUTION AGENDA ITEM # 11 DATE: OCTOBER 25, 2004 DEPARTMENT: CITY CLERK GINA DUTCHER, CIVIC TITLE A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE SANGRE DE CRISTO ARTS AND CONFERENCE CENTER BOARD OF TRUSTEES ISSUE Should City Council appoint 4 members to the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center Board of Trustees for the 3 -year term expiring December 31, 2007? RECOMMENDATION Approve Resolution BACKGROUND Due to term expirations on December 31, 2004, 4 vacancies will exist on the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center Board of Trustees. Incumbents Jane Christine "Christy" Furman and Elaine M. Nicoll have both indicated they WOULD LIKE to be considered for reappointment. Both Ms. Furman and Ms. Nicoll were appointed to the board in 2001. Because of term limits set by the board, incumbents Gary Carter and Sue Cisneros are no longer eligible to be considered for reappointment. An advertisement was published in the Pueblo Chieftain on Sunday, September 12, 2004 seeking volunteers to serve on this board. The published deadline for submittal of questionnaires was September 24, 2004.
