HomeMy WebLinkAbout10244RESOLUTION NO. 10244 A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $74,273.73 TO SHISLER, INC., AND SETTING FORTH $25,726.00 FOR CONTINGENCIES, FOR THE FY 2004 PUEBLO BLVD. BIKE TRAIL PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME WHEREAS, proposals for the FY 2004 PUEBLO BLVD. BIKE TRAIL PROJECT have been received and examined, and; WHEREAS, the proposal of SHISLER, INC., of Pueblo, Colorado was the lowest of those bids determined to be responsible; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. A contract for the FY 2004 PUEBLO BLVD. BIKE TRAIL PROJECT be, and the same is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $74,273.73. SECTION 2_ The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo, A Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the same. SECTION 3. In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work. BIKE TRAIL PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME ISSUE Should City Council award a construction contract for the FY 2004 PUEBLO BLVD. BIKE TRAIL PROJECT to SHISLER, INC., for $74,273.73. RECOMMENDATION Approval of this Resolution BACKGROUND This project will consist of removing the existing asphalt path along the east side of Pueblo Blvd, just north of St. Clair, south to Lea Gonzales Park, then constructing an 8' wide concrete bike path with ADA curb ramps at the intersections. See Attachment "A" for location of the project. This projected was funded for $100,000.00. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds for this project will be paid from Project Code CP0225. Attached is a bid summary showing the result of competitive bids on this project.
