A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $49,168.20
TO BYERLY & COSYLEON, INC., AND SETTING FORTH $5,831.00 FOR CONTINGENCIES, FOR
THE FY 2004 BEULAH AVENUE SIDEWALK PROJECT (CDBG) AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for the FY 2004 BEULAH AVENUE SIDEWALK PROJECT have been
received and examined, and;
WHEREAS, the proposal of BYERLY & COSYLEON, INC., of Pueblo, Colorado was the
lowest of those bids determined to be responsible;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract for the FY 2004 BEULAH AVENUE SIDEWALK PROJECT be, and the same is
hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $49,168.20.

The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo, A
Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the same.

In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as
stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work .....$5,831.00
SECTION 4.
Funds for said project shall be from Community Development Block Grant Funds (CD0410).

ISSUE
Should City Council award a construction contract in the amount of $49,168.20 to BYERLY &
COSYLEON, INC., for the FY 2004 BEULAH AVENUE SIDEWALK PROJECT.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution
BACKGROUND
This project will consist of the installation of ADA accessible curb ramps and the removal and
replacement of damaged sidewalk along the 700, 800, 900, and 1000 Blocks of Beulah Avenue.
This will be Phase I of an anticipated seven -phase project.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for this project will be paid from Community Development Block Grant Funds (CD0410).
Attached is a bid summary showing the result of competitive bids on this project.
