A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,324,120
AND SETTING FORTH $232,412 FOR CONTINGENCIES TO KIEWIT WESTERN COMPANY
FOR THE TAXIWAY LIGHTING AND PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT AT THE
PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT UNDER FEDERAL AIP PROJECT NO. 3 -08- 0046 -23 AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for the taxiway rehabilitation project at Pueblo Memorial Airport have
been received and examined; and
WHEREAS, the proposal of Kiewit Western Company was the lowest of those bids
determined to be responsible; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract for the Pueblo Memorial Airport Taxiway Lighting and Pavement Rehabilitation
Project is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $2,324,120.
SECTION 2_
In addition to the amount of the bid, an additional amount as stipulated in this section is
hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work: $232,412
SECTION 3.
Funds for said project shall be expended from Project No. APO402.
SECTION 4_
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of
Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest
the same.

ISSUE
Should City Council award a construction contract for the taxiway lighting and pavement
rehabilitation at Pueblo Memorial Airport.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
This project consists of rehabilitation to the medium intensity taxiway lighting system to
Runway 26 and the taxiway pavement for parallel taxiway to Runway 26. Two bids were
received on this project with Kiewit Western Company being the low bidder. The project
is funded under a federal grant and a state grant has been accepted that will pay for half
of the City's matching funds.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $2,324,120 plus $232,412 in contingencies shall be paid from
Project APO402.
