A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A WARRANTY DEED FROM
THE OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY AT 420 WEST 29
STREET, PUEBLO, COLORADO BEING A PORTION OF
LOT 1, BLOCK 4, P.F. SHARP'S ADDITION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The warranty deed dated June 10, 2002 from Michael R. Cozzetta and Susan M.
Cozzetta, a copy of which is attached hereto, having been approved as to form by the
City Attorney, is hereby approved and accepted. Three thousand ninety six dollars
($3096.00) is authorized to be expended from the Transportation Department budget for
the purchasing of the property. '
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk is directed to cause said warranty deed to be recorded in the office
of the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder forthwith.

ISSUE
Should the City Council accept a warranty deed from the property owners at 420 West 29th Street?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of Resolution
BACKGROUND
This warranty deed accepts 387 square feet of real property at southwest corner of 29th Street and
Greenwood Street. This property will be incorporated into the public right -of -way for the purpose of
widening 29th Street from Elizabeth Street to I -25. Construction for the widening is anticipated to
begin in approximately two months by First National Bank who will be requesting a building permit
for the construction of a bank.
FINANCIAL EVIPACT
The City has offered and the owner has accepted an offer of $3,096.00 for the property. The funds
for this property acquisition will be taken from existing Transportation funds.

a corporation duly organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of

WITNESS, that the grantor, for and inconsideration of the sum of Three Thousand Niney Six and no/100
($3,096.00) DOLLARS,
the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, and by these presents does grant,
bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the grantee, its successors and assigns forever, all the real property, together with improvements, if
any, situate, lying and being in the County of Pueblo and State of Colorado,
