A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DESIGN AND INSTALLATION
OF THE "WET FOUNTAIN" IN THE HISTORIC ARKANSAS
RIVERWALK OF PUEBLO
WHEREAS, the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo Authority is created and
organized as a separate legal entity whose power of authority includes the review and
recommendation to the City Council for the use, development, construction, installation,
removal, and renovation of Public Land and disposition of funds available therefore; and
WHEREAS, the HARP Authority has approved the design of the "Wet Fountain"
at their March 6, 2002 Board Meeting; and
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
The design and installation of the "Wet Fountain ", as recommended by the HARP
Authority, a copy of the plan, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is
hereby approved.

FOUNTAIN" IN THE HISTORIC ARKANSAS RIVERWALK OF PUEBLO
ISSUE
Should Council approve the design and installation of the "Wet Fountain" in the Historic
Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
In 1995 the electors approved a Limited Tax General Obligation Bond for the financing
of the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk Project. The scope of this project, as envisioned in
1995, is depicted on the attached November 26, 1996 HARP Program Plan.
The program elements listed on the attached Program Plan identifies a "Major Art
Node /Water Feature" located at the channel's confluence (see attached Program Plan).
The HARP Authority at their March 6, 2002 Board Meeting evaluated and approved the
design of the fountain that will be constructed in this location (see fountain design
attached to Resolution).
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The HARP Foundation is funding the design and installation of the "Wet Fountain ".
Operations and maintenance of the fountain will be the responsibility of the HARP
Authority.
