A RESOLUTION AWARDING A DEMOLITION CONTRACT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1,800.00 FOR THE DEMOLITION OF 1703 EAST 1sT
STREET TO DIRT N DEMO AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING
AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for Demolition of 1703 East 1S Street have been
received and examined; and
WHEREAS, the proposal of Dirt N Demo of Pueblo, Colorado, was the
lowest of those bids determined to be responsible:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO,
COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.
A Contract for Demolition of 1703 East 1 St Street be, and the same is
hereby awarded to Dirt N Demo in the amount of $1,800.00.
SECTION 2
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on
behalf of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal
of the City thereto and attest the same.
SECTION 3.
Funds for this project shall be paid out of Community Development Block
Grant funds, Demolition — Substandard Structures.

ISSUE
Should the City Council award a. contract for the demolition of the structure located at
1703 East 1 ` Street.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution
BACKGROUND
The structure located on the property at 1703 East 1 st Street was been determined by the
Building Official to be a dangerous building under the provisions of Chapter 13 of Title 4
of the Municipal Code. The owners of the structure have subsequently demolished it, but
were unable to remove the foundation. The Building Official has therefore issued a
request for the Director of Public Works to remove the foundation.
The work was competitively bid through the City's Purchasing Department, and a copy
of the bid summary is attached.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
This demolition contract will be paid from Community Development Block Grant Funds.
