HomeMy WebLinkAbout09283RESOLUTION NO. 9283 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONVEYANCE OF LAND FROM THE COLORADO STATE FAIR AUTHORITY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The Quit Claim Deed dated April 13, 2001 between the Colorado State Fair Authority and the City of Pueblo, a copy of which is attached hereto, having been approved by the City Attorney is hereby approved and accepted. The City Clerk shall cause the original of the Quit Claim Deed to be recorded in the office of the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder. The land interest (an undivided 18.12 %) was previously conveyed to the Colorado State Fair Authority by the Pueblo Chieftain. FINANCIAL IMPACT None. Reception 1384561 05/23/2001 QUITCLAIM DEED t THIS DEED, made this Ljo of /}/ , 2001 between COLORADO STATE FAIR AUTHORITY, a subdivision of the State of Colorado, Grantor, and PUEBLO, a municipal corporation whose legal address is 1 City Hall Place, Pueblo, CO 81003, Grantee. WITNESSETH, that the Grantor, for good and valuable consideration, has released, sold, and quitclaimed, and by these presents does release, sell, and quitclaim unto the Grantee, its successors and assigns forever, all of the right, title, interest, claim, and demand which the Grantor has in and to the real property, together with improvements, if any, situate, lying and being in the County of Pueblo and State of Colorado described as follows: An undivided 18.12% interest in and to the following: A parcel of land being a portion of the East ii of the NW ' /4 of Section 30, Township 20 South of Range 64 West of the 6th P.M., more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North -South centerline of said Section 30, 325.69 feet north of the center of the said Section 30; thence Westerly, parallel to the South line of the said NW %4 of Section 30, a distance of 448.13 feet to a point on the Easterly right -of -way line of the Colorado and Southern Railroad; thence Northerly along the Easterly boundary of the said Railroad right -of -way, to its intersection with the Southwesterly right -of -way line of the U.S. Highway 50, as presently located; thence Southeasterly along the said Highway right -of -way line a distance of 632.1 feet to the North -South centerline of the said Section 30; thence Southerly, along the said North -South centerline a distance of 1,886.35 feet to the point of beginning; AND Part of the SW ' /4 of the NE ' /4 of Section 30, Township 20 South of Range 64 West of the 6th P.M., more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of said SW ' /4 of the NE '/4 of Section 30; thence East along the North line of the SW ' /4 of the NE ' /4 a distance of 747.02 feet to the West line of an 80 foot strip of land conveyed by Summit Brick and Tile Company to John Bonforte by deed recorded in Book 1189 at Page 223 of the Pueblo County Records; thence South along said Westerly line a distance of 100 feet; thence West and parallel to the North line of the SW ' /4 of the NE ' /4 a distance of 747 feet more or less to the West line of the SW %4 of the NE %4; thence North along the West line of the SW ' /4 of the NE ' /4 a distance of 100 feet to the point of beginning; Less that property deeded to Summit Pressed Brick and Tile Company by Deed dated June 22, 1971, recorded June 23, 1971, in Book 1694 at Page 471, Reception No. 409386 of the Pueblo �? County Records; y AND P Less that property Deeded to the County of Pueblo for a public roadway on December 14, 1976, recorded July 17, 1978, in Book 1943 at Page 307, Reception No. 580278 of the Pueblo County Records, but including Grantor's Reversionary interest in said real property; AND Less that property Deeded to the City of Pueblo for a roadway on December 14, 1976, recorded o July 17, 1978, in Book 1943 at Page 307, Reception No. 580279 of the Pueblo County Records, but including Grantor's Reversionary interest in said real property; County of Pueblo, State of Colorado. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD THE SAME, together with all and singular, the appurtenances and privileges thereunto belonging or in anywise thereunto appertaining, and all the estate, right, title, interest, and claim whatsoever of the Grantor, either in law or equity, to the only proper use and benefit of the Grantee, its assigns forever. above.
