A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO GRANT
AGREEMENT FOR AIP PROJECT NO. 3 08 0046 20 FROM THE
FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION OF THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA RELATING TO IMPROVEMENTS AT
THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE PRESIDENT OF CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE SAME
WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, accepted an Airport
Improvement Grant Offer, AIP 3 08 0046 20, from the Federal Aviation Administration
of the United States of America on September 25, 2000; and
WHEREAS, both parties wish to amend the grant agreement; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO THAT:
SECTION 1
The City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, does hereby accept Amendment No. I to
Grant Agreement for AIP Project No. 3 08 0046 20 from the Federal Aviation
Administration of the United States of America consisting of increasing the maximum
amount of obligation of the United States and revising the description by adding
"Construct New Airfield Lighting Equipment Building ".
SECTION z
The maximum amount of the obligation of the United States as set forth in the Grant
Agreement is increased from $666,528 to $683,993. This increases the City of Pueblo's
matching funds amount from $74,058.67 to $75,999. The matching funds for this project
will be transferred from the Airport Special Tax fund.
SECTION 3
The President of the City Council is hereby authorized to execute said Amendment No. 1
on behalf of the City of Pueblo and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
attest said execution and impress thereon the Official Seal of the City of Pueblo.
SECTION 4
A true copy of the Amendment No. 1 is attached hereto, incorporated herein, and by
reference made a part hereof.

Should the City Council accept Amendment No. 1 to the grant agreement for AIP Project
No. 3 08 0046 20 from the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States of
America?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
The City of Pueblo accepted a grant offer from the Federal Aviation Administration on
September 25, 2000 under Resolution No. 9118. This amendment increases the
maximum amount of obligation of the United States in the grant agreement and revises
the description by adding "Construct New Airfield Lighting Equipment Building ".
Initially, it was thought that two grants would be needed to complete the scope of work
for this project. After receiving bids on all schedules of the project, it was determined the
project could be completed under one grant.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The grant amount has been increased from $666,528 to $683,993. The local match has
been increased from $74,058.67 to $75,999.22 an additional amount of $1 The
matching funds for this project will be transferred from the Airport Special Tax fund.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT NO. 3-08-0046-20
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (hereinafter referred to as the "FAA ") has
determined it to be in the interest of the United States that the Grant Agreement between the
FAA, acting for _and on behalf of the United States, and the City of Pueblo, Colorado
(hereinafter referred to as the "Sponsor "), accepted by said Sponsor on the 25th day of
September, 2040, to be amended as hereinafter provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, WITNESSETH:
That in consideration of the benefits to accrue to the parties hereto, the FAA on behalf of the
United States, on the one part, and the Sponsor, on the other part, do hereby mutually agree as
follows;
That the maximum amount of the obligation of the United States as set forth in said Grant Agreement is
hereby increased from $666,528 to $683,993.
That the described airport development now included in said Grant Agreement is hereby revised to add
"Construct New Airfield Lighting Equipment Building ".
The revised description becomes "Install Runway Distance Remaining Signs on Runways 8L /26R and 17/35;
Install Precision Approach Path Indicators on Runways 8L and 35; Install Runway End Identifier Lights on
Runway 35; Construct New Airfield Lighting Equipment Building ".
This offer to increase the maximum obligation of the United States and to amend the described airport
development shall expire unless this amendment has been accepted by February 28, 2001.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties hereto have caused this Amendment to said Grant
Agreement to be duly executed as of the 12th day of February' 1 2001,
