HomeMy WebLinkAbout09006RESOLUTION NO. 9006 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A WARRANTY DEED FROM KARMA BRIGHT WHEREAS, Karma Bright on April 10, 2000, deeded property to the City of Pueblo; and WHEREAS, such property is necessary for the purpose of extending a sanitary sewer main. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION 1 The conveyence of property granted by the Warranty Deed dated April 10, 2000, from Karma Bright to the City of Pueblo, a copy of which is attached hereto, after having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, is hereby approved and accepted. SECTION 2 The City Clerk is directed to record said deed in the office of the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder. RECOMMENDATION Approval of the Resolution. BACKGROUND Block 40, Mattice & Gibson's Addition, is located between Joplin Avenue and Kingston Avenue on the south side of Damson Street and borders railroad right of way to the south. This is an old subdivision and a sanitary sewer main does not exist in this block. The property owner of the lot, which fronts on Damson Street is placing a single family manufactured home on the property, and a sanitary sewer main extension is required to serve the property. A portion of the alley in this block was vacated in 1927; acceptance of this warranty deed will reacquire the alley right of way in order to extend a public sanitary sewer main. The construction of the sanitary sewer main will be funded by the property owner. FINANCIAL IMPACT There is no financial impact upon the City due to this action. FD' J ID ) ileely,rnll Nn.
