CO -03- 0091 -00 BETWEEN PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE THE SAME WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo has received a grant from the United States of America, Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration, to fund the renovation of the garage and maintenance facility at Pueblo Transit, subject to the execution of a grant agreement; and BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The Agreement dated January 18, 2000, between the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the United States of America, Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration for the purpose of renovating the garage and maintenance facility at Pueblo Transit, Project No. CO -03- 0091 -00, the Master Agreement having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, is hereby approved. SECTION 2. The President of City Council is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the Seal of the City thereto and attest the same. SECTION 3. Funds in the amount of $43,100, General Fund Undesignated Fund Balance Account, are hereby appropriated, to meet the City of Pueblo's financial obligations of the Agreement. SECTION 4. The resolution will become effective upon final passage. BACKGROUND: After applying for $1,000,000 of FTA Section 5309 Capital discretionary funds in collaboration with the Colorado Transit Coalition, a grant in the amount $172,318 has been awarded to the City of Pueblo for the purpose of renovating the garage and maintenance facility. RECOMMENDATION: Approval FINANCIAL IMPACT: The anticipated budget for this project is $215,397. The Federal share will be $172,318. A local match of $43,100 is required.
