A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ACCESS
ROAD IN THE GA HANGAR AREA AT THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, bid proposals for the construction of an access road in the GA Hangar area at the
Pueblo Memorial Airport have been received and examined; and,
WHEREAS, the proposal from Western Mobile Southern was the lowest of those bids
determined to be responsible; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, THAT:
SECTION 1
A contract for the construction of an access road in the GA Hangar area at the Pueblo Memorial
Airport be, and the same is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $25,067.50. The
awarding of the contract for the work set forth herein shall be subject to the filing of sufficient
sureties to be approved by the Purchasing Agent of said City.
SECTION 2
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as stipulated
in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work - - - $5,000.00
SECTION 3
Funds for this project shall be taken from account number 050 - 1998 - 050 - 000 - 040 -8736.
SECTION 3
The Purchasing Agent be, and is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo, a
Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the same.

ACCESS ROAD IN THE GA HANGAR AREA AT THE AIRPORT AGENDA ITEM #

ISSUE
Should the City Council approve a Resolution awarding a contract to Western Mobile Southern for
the construction of an access road in the General Aviation Hangar area at the Airport.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
Under the Taxilane C & D project let this year, Kirkland Construction was to provide access to the
GA hangar area via a gate and connector to Taxilane C. Because of a grade problem lit was too
steep), the gate was moved north and a change order was requested for the roadway. Kirkland
refused to supply a change order so this project was put out to bid after Kirkland completed their
contract. The new roadway will minimize the potential for airfield ramp incursions.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $30,067.50 shall be taken from account number 050- 1998- 050 - 000 -040-
8736.
