A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PUEBLO COUNTY VACANT LOTS AND DONATING
SAID LOTS TO THE VACANT LOT RECYCLE PROGRAM FOR NEW HOME
CONSTRUCTION AND 1 -25 HOUSING RELOCATION PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Council hereby accepts properties described in Exhibit `A'; that said
properties should be used to assist in the creation of affordable housing for low- and
moderate - income persons; and that said properties should be returned to the tax rolls
by reuse pursuant to the Vacant Lot Recycle Program established pursuant to
Resolution No. 7521 of the City Council.
SECTION 2.
The President of the City Council is hereby authorized to execute, and the City
Clerk to attest, a deed for the properties listed above to qualified persons in accordance
with the provisions and requirements of the aforesaid Vacant Lot Recycle Program.

I. SUMMARY
A. Issue:
Requesting to accept properties described in Exhibit `A' to be used as affordable housing
for low- and moderate - income families.
B. Recommendation:
Approve the request to provide affordable housing for low- and moderate - income
and return those properties to the tax rolls.
II. BACKGROUND
The City of Pueblo has researched certain vacant lots as being owned by Pueblo County. The
County has conveyed, by Quit Claim Deed to the City of Pueblo, vacant lots for the City of
Pueblo's use in the Vacant Lot Recycle Program. Utilizing these vacant lots for new home
construction and the I -25 Housing Relocation Project will allow low- to moderate - income
persons to construct new homes or relocate homes onto the vacant lots.
III. ALTERNATIVES
A. The City could elect not to accept the properties and convey ownership back to the
County.
B. The City could seek some other means of disposal of the properties.
