RESOLUTION NO. 8500 „
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR
1998 SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT (NORTHSIDE), AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME

WHEREAS, proposals for 1998 SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT (NORTHSIDE) have been
received and examined; and
WHEREAS, the proposal of Roybal Enterprises, of Pueblo, Colorado, was the lowest of
those bids determined to be responsible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO,
that:
SECTION 1
A contract for 1998 SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT (NORTHSIDE) be, and the same is
hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $63,933.55.
SECTION 2
The Purchasing Agent be, and he is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf
of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and
attest the same.

SECTION 3
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as
stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work --- $12,285.00

Funds for said project shall be from Account Number 004 - 1998 -400- 000 - 040 -7358.

Should the City Council award a construction contract for 1998 SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT
(NORTHSIDE) to Roybal Enterprises, for $63,933.55.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution
BACKGROUND
This (CDBG) project will replace settled, broken or deteriorated sidewalk at various locations in the
down town area and a few other locations across town. The locations are chosen from a list of
complaints that have been prioritized according to their severity in low to moderate income areas.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for this project will be provided from the CDBG fund and all expenditures will be charged to
Account No. 004 - 1998 - 400 - 000 - 040 -7358
Attached is a bid summary sheet showing the results of the competitive bids on this project.
