SUMMARY A. Issue: A Resolution declaring City -owned vacant lots as surplus property to the City and authorizing the sale of the lots to the sole and only bidders. B. Recommendation: Approve the resolution declaring the vacant lots as surplus property and transfer by Quit Claim Deed the properties from city ownership. II. BACKGROUND The City of Pueblo declared by Resolutions #8374 and #8375 certain lots as surplus and advertised for bids to the public. (Please see attached Resolutions.) There were only single bids received on the individual lots by interested parties. Rather than have the lots remain under the ownership of the City, it is recommended that the lots be sold and ownership be transferred to private parties for the amount of the bid. III. FINANCIAL IMPACT The city will receive the amount of the bid as indicated on the attached Bid Summary (Bid No. 98 -026). IV. ALTERNATIVES A. The City could elect not to declare the property surplus and leave it on the excess property list. B. The City could seek some other means of disposal of the property. PUEBLO
