A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, ADOPTING
THE DRAFT STATEMENT OF THE CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE CITY OF PUEBLO'S 1998 ONE YEAR ACTION
PLAN LISTING OF PROPOSED PROJECTS FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) AND HOME FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING THE
PUBLICATION
WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo, hereinafter called City, is designated as an entitlement city under
the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended through 1990; and
WHEREAS, the Citizens' Advisory Committee (CAC) on Community Development has
received and reviewed applications for the use of 1998 CDBG funds. Said Committee has made its
recommendations to the City Council on the projects to be approved; and
WHEREAS, the City held a Public Hearing on October 14, 1997, and in addition, Quadrant
Meetings at various locations within the City to obtain the views of citizens and various groups on the
City's housing and community development and housing needs for the 1998 One -Year Action Plan
submitted to HUD under the five year City of Pueblo Consolidated Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO,
COLORADO, that:
Section 1.
The City Council hereby authorizes the publication of the City's Community Development Block
Grant Statement of Objectives and Activities for 1998. This publication will afford affected citizens an
opportunity to examine the statement's contents and the City's proposed use of 1998 Community
Development Block Grant funds, and to provide comments on the proposed statement.

THE CITY OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) DRAFT STATEMENT
OBJECTIVES AND ONE YEAR PROJECTS
The City Council of Pueblo, Colorado, proposes the following objectives for use of CDBG funds in 1998 that will be included in the 1998 Consolidated Plan.
It is estimated that approximately $2,000,000 in CDBG funds and HOME federal housing dollars of approximately $800,000 will be received by the City of
Pueblo in 1998, along with program income from Housing Loan payback of approximately $85,000. It is the intent of the City of Pueblo that approximately
70% of the program funds would benefit the needs of low and moderate income persons. Conditions of slum and blight included. Permanent involuntary
displacement of housing or businesses is not expected. Any low and moderate income housing which is demolished or converted will be replaced in
compliance with federal regulations.
