• RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR GRADING, DRAINAGE, AND PAVING
• SOUTH HANGAR ACCESS TAXILANE AT THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT
GENERAL AVIATION HANGAR DEVELOPMENT AREA UNDER STATE GRANT PROJECT
NO. 97 -25 -615, AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE
SAME
WHEREAS, bid proposals for grading, drainage, and paving a south hangar access taxilane have
been received and examined; and,
WHEREAS, the proposal from Tony J. Beltramo & Sons, Inc., was the lowest of those bids
determined to be responsible; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, THAT:
SECTION 1
A contract for grading, drainage, and paving a south hangar access taxilane at the Pueblo Memorial
Airport General Aviation Hangar Development area be, and the same is hereby awarded to said bidder
in the amount of $108,045.00. The awarding of the contract for the project set forth herein shall be
subject to the filing of sufficient sureties to be approved by the Purchasing Agent of said City.
SECTION 2
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as stipulated
in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work - - - $10,804.50
SECTION 3
Funds for this project shall be taken from the 34 fund contingent upon State concurrence of award.
SECTION 4
The Purchasing Agent be, and is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo, a
Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the same.

Dear Mr. Quigley:
The CDOT- Division of Aeronautics is in receipt of the bid tabulations for development
of hangar access taxilane at Pueblo Memorial Airport in accordance with Grant
Attachment B - Scope of Work.
In all respects, the Division finds that bidding has been in compliance with Grant
Project Management Manual Therefore, authorization is hereby given for completion
of the funded project. Compliance is based on bids from Beltramo Company of
$108,325.00. Total state funds in the project shall be $50,000.00. All costs in
excess of the total grant award shall be the responsibility of the City of Pueblo.
At the conclusion of work, copies of all pertinent invoices for completion of the
project, certification of project acceptance by the City of Pueblo and Aviation Claim
for Costs Incurred should be forwarded to the Division.

Dear Mr. Saling:
Bid proposals were received and opened Friday, April 25, 1997 at the Office of the Purchasing
Agent. Two bid proposals were received. The bids are summarized below:

$157,210.00
The low bidder is Tony J. Beltramo & Sons, Inc. Beltramo is 31.3 percent below the Engineer's
Estimate. We have reviewed the proposals submitted and found no errors.
Beltramo did submit the required bid bond for five percent of the total bid price.
Based on the information provided by the contractor, we recommend the City of Pueblo award
Schedule I to Tony J. Beltramo & Sons, Inc. for a total cost of $108,325.00.
