HomeMy WebLinkAbout7829RESOLUTION NO. _2 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BLENDE SANITATION DISTRICT TO DISCHARGE INTO THE CITY'S WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM WASTEWATER GENERATED BY THE EL PUEBLO BOYS' RANCH FACILITIES LOCATED WITHIN ITS SOUTH CAMPUS WHEREAS, the City and Blende Sanitation District (the "Blende ") entered into an Agreement dated December 10, 1990 with respect to City's treatment of wastewater (the "Agreement "), and WHEREAS, Blende is only permitted to discharge into City's wastewater treatment system wastewater generated and collected within the Service Area described in the Agreement, and WHEREAS, the North Campus of El Pueblo Boys' Ranch is located within the Service Area and Blende has requested permission to discharge into the City's wastewater treatment system wastewater generated by El Pueblo Boys' Ranch facilities located within its proposed expanded South Campus, and WHEREAS, the El Pueblo Boys' Ranch is a nonprofit organization serving the needs of young persons and the expansion of its facilities would be in the best interests of the community, and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, City Council may by Resolution grant special approval to serve areas outside the Service Area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1 The City Council of Pueblo does hereby grant special approval to Blende Sanitation District to discharge into City's wastewater treatment system wastewater generated by El Pueblo Boys' Ranch's facilities to be located within the area of its proposed South Campus shown on Attachment "A" as the "Proposed Expansion." SECTION 2 The special approval hereby granted to Blende Sanitation District is limited to wastewater generated by the El Pueblo Boys Ranch facilities located within its South Campus and shall automatically terminate upon the change in the use of such facilities.
